Daisy Daisy burning rubber!

Posted on May 17, 2014

Well she’s burning the midnight oil getting ready for editing. So many fabulous images have come to light from our postcard call-out. The stories are moving, funny, some memories are bitter sweet. Memorabilia on loan includes mugs, music, posters, poems and poetry. All will go into the mix. Last minute filming and exhibition planning thanks to Don French Signs of Seamer and Edinburgh Palatte.

1933

1933

Serendipity always comes to call and today it was in the form of a photo I had forgotten I had in a box I’ve not opened for years. It shows my Dad and his twin sister in 1933, I think he might still have the cap! True to form in our family the female of the species has chosen the tricycle! As the grand depart gets closer I’m certainly getting excited to get back to Hawes. Daisy Daisy opens June 13th and runs until late September at The Dales Countryside Museum.
